Prof Ts Dato’ Dr Husin Jazri

Prof Ts Dato’ Dr Husin Jazri is the Non-Executive Chairman of PBG, bringing more than three decades of senior leadership experience (1987–Present) in cybersecurity, information security governance and national digital infrastructure across government, academia and industry. He is widely recognised for his instrumental role in the establishment of Cyber Security Malaysia (CSM) (2005) and for previously leading the National ICT Security and Emergency Response Centre (NISER) (2000–2004), where he contributed significantly to strengthening Malaysia’s national cyber resilience framework.
He holds a PhD in Computer Science (2019) from the National Defence University of Malaysia, a Master of Science (Distinction) in Information Security (1997) from the University of London (Royal Holloway), an MBA (1998) from Universiti Putra Malaysia, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (1987) from the University of Hartford. Prof Husin has been a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) since 2002 and has received numerous national and international recognitions, including the Harold F. Tipton Lifetime Achievement Award (2010) and the conferment of Darjah Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Perak (DPMP, 2012). As Non-Executive Chairman (2024–Present), Prof Ts Dato’ Dr Husin Jazri provides independent oversight, strategic direction and governance leadership, ensuring that PBG’s corporate strategy, risk posture and cybersecurity initiatives remain aligned with national priorities and international best practices, while supporting the company’s long-term sustainability and growth.

En. Mokhlis Abdul Karim, the Founder of PowerBloc Generation Sdn Bhd (PBG), is a venerable figure in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry, bringing over five decades of invaluable experience to his leadership role.

Beginning his journey

As a local city boy from Kuala Lumpur, he pursued his education at Ulster University, Belfast, Ireland, on a prestigious Government Scholarship, graduating with a degree in Computer Studies. This foundation, coupled with his profound strategic vision and deep-seated expertise, 

has been instrumental not only in steering PBG to its position as a trusted provider of cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions, but also in successfully helming national projects through his several other ventures – including his first company which successfully undertook the national project to digitize the ‘paper’ registration cards for all Malaysians.

His enduring dedication to technological advancement and commitment to excellence underscore his remarkable professional journey. Beyond his significant contributions to the ICT sector, En. Mokhlis remains an avid sportsman, passionate about both tennis and golf, pursuits that highlight his keen eye for precision and strategic play – qualities that undoubtedly translate into his distinguished corporate stewardship.

Puan Sri Utami Dewi Hj. Kasman

Puan Sri Utami Dewi Hj. Kasman, casually known as “Sri” in the cyber security industry amongst peers and clients, has been leading PBG since 2007. Her foundational 7 years in accountancy were forged at prominent organizations such as Petronas Dagangan Sdn Bhd and Commerce International Merchant Bankers Berhad (CIMB) in the ‘90s. It was after this period that she found her true calling in the dynamic world of cyber security, where she has since amassed a significant 18 years of specialised experience.

In her current role, Sri’s primary strength lies in her adeptness at consulting clients on critical compliance and implementation frameworks. She possesses deep knowledge of the National Institute of Standards and Technology – Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF 2.0) and Malaysia’s Akta Keselamatan Siber (Akta 854), enabling her to equip organizations with robust and compliant cyber security postures. Her guidance ensures that clients not only meet regulatory requirements but also establish resilient and effective security measures against evolving threats.
